Dacor Stud
The Dacor stud farm is one of the best Akhal-Teke stud farms in the world. The horses they breed combine beauty, very good pedigrees and health. What is extremely important for the Western world, their horses do not take part in races, so they are not burdened at a young age. However, the excellent breeding conditions in the picturesque foothills of Trans-Ili Alatau near Almaty in Kazakhstan are conducive to health. The Dacor stud farm was founded by the Bekbossynov family in 1996.
The breeding herd includes the best representatives of the Akhal-Teke breed of various lines, winners and champions of shows, both obtained from the leading Akhal-Teke stud farms and those born and raised at the stud farm.
The history of the stud farm began with horses from Stavropol and Lugovska Stud Farm. The first Akhal-Teke horse and founder was the mare Mziuri (Mekan - Horsta), born in 1997 from the Karlavach line. The most important purchase took place in 2001, when the two-time World Champion Salyr, born in 1997 (Gaygysyz - Sania) from the Posman line, the bay mare Gozel, born in 1997 (Orlan - Garpina) from the Gelishikli line, and the bay mare Beata, born in 1997 (Polot - Bazilik) from the Sovchoz 2 line, were purchased from the Stavropol Stud Farm.
Salyr became the foundation of the Dacor stud farm and left wonderful offsprings: Gazyr (m. Gozel) the Junior Champion of Kazakhstan, Miras (m. Mziuri) and his full brother Mustang, a year younger, and Mersi (also from the mother - Mziuri), the black stallion Dallas (m. Dilyara) and the wonderful mares Guldes (m. Gozel), Dabysa (m. Dilyarya), Gulsara (m. Gemera), Baisalda (m. Beata).
In the spring of 2002, two mares were purchased from the Veles stud (Russia, Peznek region) - wonderful daughters of the early deceased Russian Champion, the black Ashug (Gylkuyruk - Azalia) from the Kaplan line - Dilyara (m. Jakarta) and Aladja (m. Akustika). In the same transport, the black mare Cordelia (Dialog - Kepderi) arrived from distant Kalmykia.
In 2006, the Dacor stud acquired wonderful Turkmen mares: Sulgun (Saparhan - Sovgatli) from the Peren line, the chestnut mare Hyundzhi (Galkan - Khvala) from the Kaplan line, the stallion Tadzhmahal (Toreli - Mushtari) from the rare Melekush line and the gray Derby winner from Turkmenistan - Gozgana (Meget - Gulperi) from the Kir Sakara line. In the autumn of this year, two mares were also purchased from the Luzhovsky stud farm - the wonderful chestnut Gemera (Gazyr - Mezen) from the Gundogar line with an interesting foal from the Arab line Gibrat (father Akhtar) and the chestnut mare Gichka (Galkan - Parcha) from the Kaplan line with the wonderful mare Gazhap (Fr. Aylazat) from the line Sovkhoz 2.
In the winter of 2009, two more horses were imported from Turkmenistan: the palomino stallion Elgush (Erezgala - Gulistan), the mare Akaltyn (Karal - Adzhaip) from the Karlavach line with the filly Aelita (father Elgush) and the wonderful mare Azhar (Akhal - Akaltyn) from the Gundogar line.
Soon, just after the New Year 2010, more horses arrived from the Stavropol stud: the stallion Pirahmed (Adat - Pampa) from the Gelishikli line, a two-time World Champion, called the white swan, the stallion Oraz-Polot (Serasker - Ogledje) from the Sere line, the mare Mulatka (Yazaydym - Margaritka) from the Gelishikli line, two-year-old colts Karabek (Karar - Polyn) from the Kaplana line and Yazgym (Yazaydym - Melegozel) from the Gelishikli line.
In 2011, the Dacor stud herd was joined by two wonderful, sport-tested stallions: a representative of the rare Skak line - the black Montmartre (Marquis - Migba) and the black Radzh (Alaman - Rampa) from the Sovchoz 2 line. The mare Polyana (Orlan - Pervana) from the Gelishikli line was also purchased.
In 2015, the stallion Keity-Shael (Saivan - Yalama/Singapore) was purchased from the Shael stud. In 2024, Taipaly-Saks (Tokhtamysh - Palba/Gench) joined the stallion group.
Every year, at least 20 foals with very interesting and unusual backgrounds are born at the stud. They combine the best Turkmen, Kazakh and Russian blood, and, with no doubt, they will always be winners at shows, in breed rings, and in various equestrian sports. Some of them are always offered for sale.
